I went to north of Lake Conroe yesterday morning with my best friends father in law and the wind was terrible. We fished 6" - 20',timber, points, humps, channels and brush piles and no takers. We didn't see anyone else that did too good either. Did any of you guys fish Conroe yesterday?

I fished Conroe today and did about the same as you.

I spent most of my time in the Lewis creek cove, but I also hit the 1097 bridge just to check and see if anything was going on there. I also bass fished with no success. The wind was a real pain, but it was good to get out on the water anyway.

Does anyone do any good in Lewis creek? I went way back in there past the bridge looking for good shallow water areas and thought it looked pretty good, but no takers.

I'm thinking it might be time to try Stubblefield.

I'm going to be on the south end of the lake off 105 the next few weeks. I'm not familiar with the lake. Any suggestions? I will be staying at Havens Landing RV resort. Is there a ramp nearby?

I'm planning to go look for Crappie Saturday morning. I thought I would try the 1097 bridge. If anyone has any suggestions let me know. I'm taking by boys fishing and would love to get them into some fish.

Thanks

Wayne,

There are several boat ramps close by. One on Walden road near Grand Harbor and one in Del Lago. There's also April Plaza, but they probably charge a small fee.

Mark, although the 1097 bridge is my favorite spot to fish I don't tink the fish are that deep right now. I would spend you time in water less than 10 feet deep right now.

Good luck!

i;ve been fishing the south end of the lake all week and catching some big crappie in 2 to 3 foot of water...

april plaza is the closest marina to havens landing. they charge $7.00 for a launch...and they sell minnows if you need them...
