I do recognize the cliffs you refer to, about the only time I've caught any fish on that 1/4 mile stretch of the Brazos is during the spring sand bass run. Like you, I think it looks great, but it almost always disappoints. There is a great hole of water about halfway between Worth Boy Scout ranch and the cliffs. Fish every eddy you find and hang on, those Brazos river bass can put up quite a fight.

I'm making a shopping list for the lures you folks are telling me about---Should we concentrate on eddy's where we can?
I know they could be anywhere, but-----------

OK- I was able to get most of the lures that were suggested here today--didn't find a crank bait I liked yet but I'll pick that up.
Also got a seine net so I hope that will produce enough bait to keep my line pulling. I'm thinking of leaving the cast net home this trip to cut down on bulk and save that for when the water is colder.
Thanks again for the help and I'll take any other tips you wanna through our way before we leave.
I hope to post many pics of good fish when we return!
