Thanks Guy, but I just got a 300 yd. spool last week.
BTW, on the spook crappie thing for you guys that have not seen some of the tools people have used. Here is one strange way....guys take a welding rod (brass mostly) and cut it to about 6" long. The they flatten each end and drill a hole in each. They tie the line to one end and the hook to the other and when the hang in a brush pile they can use the weight of that rod to help knock it loose from the snag.
My point is if they will bite on a hook attached to a welding rod that is may 1/8" thick they will not let hi vis stop them from biting.

Just adding my .02 - read somewhere on here about spooling your reel first with a lower cost mono and then tying on your braided instead of spooling the whole thing with braided. Save a little money and get the same results.

I have been using berkly fireline for so long I forgot what mono feels like and catch as many or more fish than guys I know using mono and I almost never lose a jig as long as I am using blakemore roadrunners(they bend easy),I switched to the yellow high vis last year and will use nothing else in the future, the only down side to the high vis. line is that it fades and has to be replaced every year.

catfishatc if you put only braid on you reel it not only cost more, it will slip on the spool. So all my reels that have Power Pro on them, there is mono on first.
Also I only put about 50 yards of braid on and if it fades you can take it off and put it back on starting with the faded end and now the color is new.

I use the SW Stealth 15lb hiVis, I wrap a piece of electrical tape to my spool 1st to keep it from slipping. I use small reels for crappie so it doesn't take much line & I don't like backing, the line always seems to hang on the knot some when casting unless it's a large reel with lots of line.
REEL beauty is only FIN deep
