Probably not, but here it goes. After all the killer top water reports from last week we had to give it a shot Saturday. Well, it wasnt fast & furious like all the reports from the week, I think the weather was too nice. We gotem on top early while there was still plenty of cloud cover. All overs from Rocky Point south. No monsters, all in the 4-8# range, no box fish at all. Most fish were really long & skinny and came right against the wind blown rocky shore, very shallow. All on pencil poppers & poppa dogs. Had to workem pretty fast w/ as much popping as possible. It is awesome watching those fish hit on top. My buddy had one take his poppa dog right at the boat when he was about to pull it out of the water, he watched the fish come straight up at it, mouth opened wide. These were some aggressive fish but just not fast action & had to move around a lot. When the sun started poking through the clouds it was over. Couldnt find anymore fish the remainder of the morning. Saw some guide boats around the Platter area later so went over there & didnt mark anything on the graph so went cruising. Nice day on the lake but wish it would have rained or stayed cloudy .
