went out last night with bassitup, his wife, and his brother. everyone caught at least one catfish. Bassitup caught a sand bass on a chicken liver, odd, and about 5am a local guy showed up and picked up a 4.34 LMB on a pop-R. weather was nice and had fun, fishing was a little slow though. All in all it was good times.

That game was a good one and only should set the tone for the rest of the season...I am still pissed but hey we played well against the #2 team in the nation...

1fisherjz "got em today....they are in the grass "
How can you tell where the grass is? You mean when it sticks up out of the water...cause I dont see a lot of that on the south side

Grapevine grass is not something you smoke...it is more like weeds that are submerged due to the rains...the only way to really find the good spots is by getting in the water and wading around while fishing the edges...sometimes they are there and sometimes they have moved out a little further....

You can also feel the grass through your line and lure if your rod is sensitive enough. JZ just goes out there and swims around to find it and you know he found it when he comes up with a mouthful of weeds.

Dude, have you not figured it out yet? I know you have been in here with us for a bit now.....the answer to your question is EVERYTHING YOU GOT! I would give each lure about 20 mins or so until you find the one....Try top waters that make a lot of noise or large spinner baits that but off a heck of a vibration..well that is what I would do if I could stay up past 10:00 p.m. and go fishing..Good Luck!

what are some good baits to use out there at night and in this overcast weather? you just gotta find whatever works, some days its a worm some days its a spinner. even at times it could be a rooster tail, but who uses those worthless things anyways?

Just poking you a little there "green horn" ...I am happy you got it figured out at the Vine...But for real try what I said and let me know how you do... As for the rest of these dudes on here with their subliminal messages about bait choice..I see you..
