Has anyone ever used youpon for brushpiles? I have a place that is thick with cedar and youpon and was thinking about trying both this year. The branching on the youpon seems like it would make a good fish hotel if it doesn't decay too fast. Anyone with any experience in this area?

Crappie Popper, They have just now moved in. I know that if you dont get there early in the morning you will miss the bite. There has been several limits taken out the last couple of days, and they were all cought before noon. After that you have to work hard for them. I dressed 21 last night and it took me all day. I was getting a little worried that they might not show up this year but, things are looking up.

I dropped 8 bamboo condos yesterday. They are all about 17-18' tall. I dropped them in 20' of water. After all were dropped, I went back and fished the first one, (1.5 hours later) and started catching fish. These things look huge on the graph, kinda like flying over downtown Dallas. I will be able to catch fish on these year round. I used 2/3 bag of 80lb bag of quickcrete per bucket. The bamboo floats, so, when sinking them, they drop like a parachute and remain upright. The leaves will remain for about a year, and the stalks and branches for several years. I have created a high rise condo for them there fishies. I have the bamboo wrapped with twine for transporting purposes. I just remove the twine prior to loading in the boat. The branches spread back out on their own if you don't let them set too long wrapped up. I love it!
