I have a 1992 skeeter that needs the oxidation removed from the side and tops of the boat. Can someone suggest a product or technique to do this properly.
There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the boat looking like an idiot.

I had a 1989 Skeeter DX 175 that I purchased new.Two months ago I ugraded to a 20I. The person who purchased my old boat though the boat was in great condition. Although if that person had seen the boat two years ago they would not have though it was so nice. It had oxidation on it. I did a lot of reasearch and got the same answers you are getting and I simply did not want to spend the money to have someone do that much work to a 17 year old boat, and I did not want to do that much work myself. To make a long story short I was told that Soft Scrub would remove the oxidation so I tried it on a small spot and it worked. I proceeded to do the entire boat and after washing off all the Soft Scrub resdue I waxed it with a good boat wax. It worked for me you may want to try a small spot on your boat as well.

Sorry it took so long to respond. It has been a busy day. Yes Soft Scrub is a household cleaner, as you can see from the link Dwight sent.
