Ernest is the man once again with his kind generosity. Ernest, I've been to both of your seminars and am now a follower. Count me and my buddy in for Sat. at 9. If you need me to bring you anything, hot coffee or whatever let me know.

Whatever you do, keep Varner away from steep banks or laydown trees, anything for him to step on or over is potential diaster in the making.
I would love to attend, but am working about 12 hours a day for the great PO

I'll be there. Thanks in advance for the very generous Christmas gifts to all the TFF group.

This was last year, 2003.

LOOKS LIKE WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A FUN TIME.

KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS A SMALL CREEK WITH A LIMITED AREA TO PARK. SOME OF YOU MIGHT CONSIDER MEETING AT BUCK CREEK STORE (OR SOMEWHERE) AND CAR POOLING TO THE CREEK.

THE MAIN THING IS TO SEE WHAT AN UNIMPRESSIVE LOOKING PLACE THIS IS AND TO LEARN THE PROPER TECHNIQUES TO CATCH THE FISH. THEN WE CAN SPREAD OUT ON THE CREEK AND TRY TO CATCH A FEW. ALSO IT'S A WEEKEND AND ALREADY A POPULAR PLACE.

BUCK CREEK IS A SHORT WALK, YOU CAN PARK AT EITHER END OF THE BRIDGE AND FISH ON THE NORTH SIDE OR THE SOUTH SIDE. BOTH ARE GOOD.

WE WILL PROBABLY BE ON THE NORTH SIDE BUT SOME OF YOU SHOULD BE ON THE OTHER SIDE. IT IS A NARROW CREEK SO WE CAN TALK ACROSS IT.

THE AREA THAT WE HAVE FISHED IS ALL WITHIN 100 YARDS OF THE BRIDGE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ROAD. WE MAY TRY TO GO FARTHER TOWARD THE LAKE (WEST) THIS TIME TO CHECK IT OUT.

Ernest...I think my wife and I may come join you too! Sounds like a good learning experience waiting to happen! Should I bring the neoprene waders or leave them at home?

Everyone make sure to bring your fishing licenses with you (in case you forget sometimes like I do). Last time we were at Buck Creek the game warden came out and checked everyone's stringers and licenses. Luckily for me I had mine but my fishing buddy left his at home and got a ticket.

They are starting to patrol that area. Just a heads up.

I will see you all out there.

KingCrappie and I will be there as well more to meet you earnest and thank you for the info. We have been catching some nice stringers in an area close to where you will be. We both want to make the switch to jigs and have been trying both with much more success coming from minnows and nee a few pointers and we'll be on our way. Look forward to meeting you, im sure there will be a parking lot of people waiting. LOL

No need for anyone to bring waders (you won't be getting in the water), BUT BE SURE TO WEAR SOMETHING THAT YOU DON'T MIND GETTING MUDDY (LIKE KNEE BOOTS).......CAUSE IT IS MUDDY.

I am also going to be in the house. This is definitely going to be a mad fishing hole.

I went out to Buck Creek today to try it out before Saturday. Using my limited skills, I managed about 25 fish with only 2 or 3 being 10" plus. I got out there at around 8 and left around 11. It's a neat spot but it probably does see a lot of pressure. Can't wait to hear Ernest's advice.

THERE ARE A LOT OF SMALL FISH THERE NOW BUT THAT'S OK. WE ARE GOING OUT THERE TO LEARN THE TECHNIQUES THAT WILL WORK OTHER PLACES FROM NOW UNTIL MAY. BESIDES IT IS FUN TO CATCH LITTLE FISH TOO. WE LET THEM ALL GO ANYWAY.

FOR THE LAST TWO MONTHS THERE WERE A LOT OF BIG ONES.

(REMEMBER THAT NEXT OCTOBER)

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE CIRCUS.

GOOD FISHING.
