Out of curiosity what is a common winning weight on this lake this time of year?

Not really sure about this time of year but it looks like it took some pretty healthy bags to win the last ones. Fishing should be pretty good this weekend though, good luck if you enter

Depends on who's fishing? Is it an open where lot's of locals can fish? If so I would say 20 lbs for a 5 fish limit would set you up pretty good. But you never can tell on Whitney. I had a 29.32 sack earlier in the year and did not win, also had a 9.41 big fish in the same tournament and did not win big bass. Probably wont see a sack like that this time of the year but with a little new water and cooler temps fishing should be good

The Burleson Bass Club open this sunday is just a 3 fish individual tourntment. I woud guess around 14 to 15 lbs to win it.

The winds will be light which usually means some bigger fish come off the open water on the main lake. Look for me in the mid-lake area around the deeper trees and humps. It will take two solid fish and a 6lb+ kicker to win. This is a great event to bring the kids as they fish for free and will get some kind of prize even if they don't weigh anything.

Do they have anything setup for just spectators, say presentations or a place where you can see new lures?
never been to a tournament at all, but plan on fishing them in the next couple of years.

We have a trailer we use as a stage so everyone can see the fish as they are weighed in. We will be selling raffle tickets for some good prizes ($1 each or 6 for $5), so you could win something even if you don't fish the tournament. We invite everyone to come out and fish our tournament, the lake may be low, but the fishing is good.

Looks like we are in for some great weather for the tournament. Just throwing out the challenge to all you big talkers on here, come down and compete for a $1000 guaranteed first place for just a $30 entry fee.
