Walmart here has it on clearance but all the reports I've read say the DK with Blood is better then the DK Original or DK with Garlic.
Was wondering if it is worth purchasing either or letting someone else get in on the deal

DK blood is DK original with red dye in it. I've used DK with Good Results in the past but only in the large tubs. I think the stuff in the small containers is different.

I like DK in the small containers, I haven't bought anything in the big tubs yet- but out of everything I've tried, DK will prolly be the one.
I dig the blood and original. Garlic is so-so.

Best to buy it on line-it is better. I mostly slip cork fish with mfg. baits and have almost all of them. On all the fish caught on dk for me---- Blood 75% Original 23% Garlic 2% I would buy both just have with me though since there cheap.

Like catfisher said,if its on clearance get some of both, you never know what they might be biting on from day to day. I carry several different baits with me,most of the time they will tell you what they want!

Well I wouldn't call em cheap they are like $4.50, regular $5.56 or so. I've had tons of luck with the CJ's Shad so maybe I'll just keep buying CJ's until Walmart has the blood version so I can put a can on the boat
Thanks for the advice all!

Went to our other walmart in town and found the blood DK not on sale for $3 so I bought the only one they had!
I'll try it out next time on the lake.
Thanks!

not saying its awful, but DK's is just simply not the same as it was several years ago. The report, direct from the King family, is that it is not the same recipe and current company has not done enough to ensure quality.

Try Mr. Whiskers. Found a guy fishing the river last week using DK's said he got it from the original owners son. We tied up near each other Thusrday just before it started raining. He caught none I caught just as many lol. But he also stated that the stuff in the stores is not the same as what he had. Just not biting at that time and I got off the water pretty quick did not know what might be blowing in and it was a coming.

Thanks for the help guys
Cats didn't want any of the CJ's today...only got one bobber twitch out of it.
Turtles wanted the frozen TV Bait Shrimp...
DK's produced the most bites for the day.

get some big marvs that stuff works. i never liked commercial baits but this stuff really works great once you try this stuff you will never use a diffrent bait. it works great for channels and good sized blues.

It is on sale, buy some. I usually carry DK Original, Blood, and Garlic and some Big Marv's. Most of the time when I can get some I will also carry Secret 7. Then there is chicken liver, and a good casting net. As several stated before, you will never know what they are wanting to eat until you get to the lake and find out. So save yourself the time and the possibility of getting skunked and get you some of all the punch baits you can carry. I usually carry them all in on of those lunch bag coolers. The kind that are insulated and the size of a large lunch box. I can fit five of the small containers of punch bait in there. When I get back, I just put the whole bag back in the cooler I have outside, or you could just store in a cool dry place. Don't get caught not having the bait the fish want when you are out there.
