Hey all, looking to take my 7 year old out later this week for some late evening/night fishing. Thinking of tying off/anchoring below a bridge and using a light with?? minnows, cat bait etc. Any ideas??
thanks, William

Non, you might want to launch at the Lake Houston marina which is on the east side of McKay Bridge(1960). Go under the bridge and fish around 100 yards from the bridge, east end, around 75 yards from the bank. If this does not produce, move up to the bridge and fish under it. This is the east fork of the San Jacinto river. If you have a depth finder, it will be easy to find. Fish on the edge of the drop-off, shallow side. I like chicken liver for rod and reel fishing for cats. However, if you have a light you might want to try minnows also. These can be purchased at the marina. A lot of people like stinkbait, but with a 7 year old at night, I would stick with minnows, chicken liver, worms, or shrimp. Good luck and let us know how you did!

Diving cat is right. If you will go to ************* and sign on there you will find a lot of people from that area that fish those two lakes.
