Playing hooky a half a day yesterday is horning me today. I have just been informed of a project that will need to be completed today which means I am working late today. No fishing tonight for me. bang

Sounds like a cool light you got there, do I need shades? cool I have the 20 dollar Academy specials but the work pretty good.

I say that we get there before sunset so everyone can launch and get setup before last light.

Competition, Hmmmmmm? I say all you girls take out your folding money, put it in a sack and drop it in my rod box. Cause I'm gonna win!!! bolt

I will take the first 2 on the list unless they have someone else they are going with. That would be
1. Will (sportsman3535)
2. Mike (Sabot)
If this needs to be changed just let me know. Getting on the water before dark would be good. Oh, Gus, the money will be going home with this team...Ha Ha Ha....

LOL!!!

I am willing to throw in to the pool $10. Not exactly a large sum but if all adds to the pool, not a bad night fishing! woot

Rule might be, we all have to fish near the same spot. No secret honey holes! popcorn

Now we need a warm, calm night!

I'll take it anyone that wants to fish out of my rig with me. I don't smell to bad, usually. rolleyes
Only thing that would keep me off of the water would be rain or high winds.

When I fish at night there I always anchor front and back. I like to keep things stable, no swinging back and forth. Ya'll ever try that?

NO honey holes here...I have never fished at night on Lake Georgetown....

Since TPWD has not officially recorded a lake record for crappie, one of us could be on the list! Last weekend, my friend Glen, caught a lake record flathead catfish with me on Lake Buchanan. So, anyone can catch atleast a good crappie! Trying to keep interest up in this COLD weather!

Lake Georgetown Rod and Reel Records:
Georgetown Bass Smallmouth 5.88lbs or 21.25"
Georgetown Bass Largemouth 10.6llbs. or 25.25"
Georgetown Bass White 1.45lbs or 15.625"
Georgetown Bass Hybrid Striped 2.93lbs or 19"
Georgetown Catfish Channel 28lbs or 37.5"
Georgetown Catfish Flathead 61lbs or 49"
Georgetown Trout Rainbow 1.81lbs or 16.75"
Georgetown Walleye 3.01lbs or 23"

I guess that means I shouldn't come up to georgetown this afternoon? frown

Sounds like Emmetts team is a winner to me:) Hate to be taking money from all of you guys, but us poor college students need all the extra money we can get. Money in the bank. clap

The hybrid record could easily fall this year. There were several 2# plus caught last year. That lake has some good whites in it, would not take much too break that one either.

Sorry Will I did not know until I spoke with the boss this morning. I am still at least trying for tomorrow night.

I will take your word Gus regarding the smell! wink
Last weekend, I deployed both of my anchors to keep from doing 360 in the winds on Granger. I never use anchors but after spending thirty minutes on the trolling motor, I gave up and anchored near a brush pile. I threw out enough rope that allowed the back of the boat to swing just enough to put us over the pile once in a while.

I am thinking of rigging a few poles with florescent line (have to find some...) and buying a black/white light combo... Oh.. a few lighted floats too...

Swinging around if no fun at all.. been there done that...

I know it's kind of late in the game, but I have an old Boston Whaler that will fish 2 or 3 easily. I live in GT and would like to get in on the action. If nothing else maybe I could meet you guys out there. We are going to visit my daughter in Denver on the 265th, but should be back by the 30th

It looks like it is getting bigger by the hour. This is going to be a good trip. It looks like I am going to get a chance to meet a lot of the TFF's in this area.
I need to make sure I still have 2 anchors. I am not used to using them, I am just getting into crappie fishing.

I'd just love the chance to -- once again -- put Will in his place when it comes to fish. laugh
