When i went to high island last weeked i caught a couple of small silver fish with yellow fins in a cast net. I had no idea what they were so ive been searching the web and i cant seem to find them. Anyone know what they are?
I have an addiction to fishing, Im a fishaholic. =)

Another thing i for got to mention. There heads were rounded off like a sheepshead not the black and white striped one but the big ugly lookin one.
I have an addiction to fishing, Im a fishaholic. =)

I had someone with me on the rigs 2 weeks who caught what I think you are refrring to and started yelling that she caught a yellow fin tuna....lolol
I called a buddy who is much more exp with saltwater and i think he said they were pompano too..

It isnt either one of those. All of there fins are a dark yellow they were about the size of a shad.
I have an addiction to fishing, Im a fishaholic. =)

Ive got it narrowed to 2. it could either be the yellow menhaden or the silver perch if I catch some more when I go back I will take a picture.If you have anymore suggestions please post them I would really like to know what this is. Thanks for all the help guys

Maybe a Horse Eyed Jack? I've caught many of these in the surf.
