one of the best memories I have of Mr. and Mrs. Broken Rod....Mr. Legend and I are fishing a tournament on Lake Lewisville and they pull up into the area we are fishing. Pappy starts throwing this lizard around and immediately sticks several fish. well we both get cranky....
but after those several fish, he leaves and goes to another area. well we leave too (stupid mistake I know...never leave fish to find fish) but as we fly past them as they are fishing, I hear him shouting the words...well never mind the words this is a family site...but mom I can hear her telling broken rod let them fish....
they will be missed dearly...
but the are fishing togethor again in a brand new bassboat with a hopped up mercury

We lost a fellow fishing partner last night....
Renee Lynn Green from Hickory Creek, Tx. Renee was like my other mother. Her Son posts on here from time to time. Her son is Mr. Legend on here. Those of you that know the Green family, you will remember that we lost her husband (my other father) Mike "broken Rod" Green last june.
I found out this morning when I woke up to an alarm clock. I shut off the alarm to notice the text message from Mr.
Legend at 2am.
Although Renee had only been in my boat once, she smoked her son and I from the back deck with a rattletrap on her home lake of Lewisville.
Renee Lynn Green was born 05-23-64. She is a great woman.
Renee is now by her late husbands (Mike "pappy / Broken Rod Green) side once again fishing as they once did.
So long my other mother....you will be missed She obviously left this world way too early...Express Knee Mail and condolences to the family.

Thank you all... Mom was gonna come up this weekend and watch the kings of cowtown weigh-ins. She told me the day before she passed away how excited she was. In her honor and my fathers Mike and I will go out there and fish our heart out.

all I can say to the other teams on lewisville and grapevine, is watchout. my white,black and red basscat is being piloted by Mr. Legend with his dad and mom on board. he will be fishing for 3 and I think sunday on the other 2 lakes, I will be the handicap.
