A few questions:

I found the I-35 boat ramp, Can you run all the way to Dunlap from there? Looks as if there are some dams or something in the river.

Can you get to McQueeny or Placid via the river or no? Planning on going tomorrow so I am desperate. LOL

Ya, free launch is under 35, they jsut added no wake zone that extend bouta 1/4 mile down..... U can run it all the way down tothe dunlap dam, but not into mcqueeny, u must take out and drive.... I prefer to fish dunlap and placid...

There is a about 5 lakes in the guadalupe river chain which u must take out to get into each one!!!!

this past month boated 9# , 10# lots of 4-7 lbs bass!!!!

Cool. So just put in there, idle a 1/4 mile or so and just follow the river. Got it. I'll post a report when I get home...If I make to the lake that is.

There are a couple shallow spots out there u gotta watch out for while runnin if u never been out there.... There are numerous stumps that are marked, big stump field down by the dam...

Thanks for that info! So does it open up at all? I assume it does if there are skiers and water roaches. The current was kickin pretty good this evening from all the rain. Going to give it a shot in the A.M.

ya it opens up pretty wide in certain places but chokes back down as well.... U can run it wide open from end to end u just gotta keep and eye out... The first big right turn coming from 35 is pretty shallow..

Ranger, I suggest slow and mark the trip on your gps, then follow that route from here on out. Have fun, great lake now that the jetfleas and ski boats are gone.

Great fish William, send those pics of the bass to me Ray@TopCatFishing.net. I need them for the Herald Zeitung column, what great dunlap bass.

I think I saw you out there Monday night, did you take out about 1 am at Schumanns beach and hear a pontoon making a bunch of racket with a fish in the boat, flashes going off lol? Swear it was your boat fishing those lighted docks and loading at Schumans beach.

Just read your report. Nice fish. You have a sweet spot eh?
I know what your boat looks like. You almost make me want to head out there. 5 minutes from my house and I don't fish it anymore.
