What has been your experience fishing as or right after a cold front moves through?

I pulled the boat into work tonight and plan to fish when I get off in the morning if it's not lightning. What has been your experience fishing as a front moves through.

Fish when you can and when you are able. You don't need to catch anything to enjoy yourself out there. Who knows you might surprise yourself with catching some. I'll be out there unless the wind and rain are having their way. It's never a waste of time.

I believe fishing right before a front can be productive, but as the front pushes in..it will slow down and sometimes shut down. But my grandpa always said..."any old fool can catch crappie when theyre biting good, but you gotta be g.d. good to catch em when they aint". Through the years I've had to tell myself that on many days, both good and bad!

my experience is they shut down completely... week later bite is back on.... i think they do just as we do... go to our homes and take shelter until the storm/cold front is over...

Just from my experience and in my opinion it depends on what time of year. Spring and Fall are affected more so than Summer and to a lesser extent Winter. I always try to fish the leading edge if I can and usually avoid the first few days right after the front.

There is no cold front coming in. Its a low pressure system from the gulf of mexico bringing the cloud cover and rain. Fishing should be great!!!
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

BAD!
The day of the front (not to Bad if the north winds are not to Bad to fish).
2nd day after the front not as good but goin down hill fast.
3rd day after most fronts (potentially a Blue Bird Sky - calm with BLUE SKYS no clouds) - It's as BAD AS IT GETS!.
Let that pressure drop back down after that (below 30.xx) and yep its back on.
You can catch Hybrids/Stipers and White Bass during this time (they do not want to hit but you can make them) - but for the Crappie and Black Bass - most of the time Forget it (thru that three day period - it ante goin to happen).
