 lake o the pines spillway again!

went to east tx this weekend and had a chance to visit my favorite spot!! this little spot has it all!!!! started the day with this nice chunk!  then some of these showed up  lent my dipnet to this guy so he could land this baby!!.it was cough on a crappie jig..barely!!  and here is the only thing i took to the grease!!22 inches..it was good!!  also cought 3 gars among many other fish..like i said this lil sweet spot has it all..if you happen to visit this place treat it right and in turn it will return the favor!!! everything was cought on either live or cut shad witch are plentyful!!.all in all it was a good day of fishin!!!

How long of a drive is it for you? its about 1 1/2 hour from here to longview and 30 min drive north after that! i know its kinda far but its my favorite place to fish...the wife stays with the inlaws and i go fishing...so all are happy

The Lake O' the Pines spillway is a great place to fish. Seeing those pictures makes me want to get back to East Texas.

That looks like more fish than me and my clients caught in 10 hours today!! Great Job....
I've fished that spot for many years. One of my favorites too.

went out there this morning, didn't have your luck :-/ too many people up close to the spillway and all we got was some babies and dinks where we set up..
