We went fishing Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. When I washed it this afternoon, I noticed the spare tire on the boat trailer was gone! The spare tire sits in a cradle horizontally at the nose of the trailer. Okay, let's think about this. Did someone go to all of the trouble of somehow getting this tire off or did it fall off? The spare had a lock, a mounting bolt, and a vinyl cover. I parked at Fayette County park twice and Bethy Creek park on Monday. The thought that someone could actually cut it off is just about as weird as thinking it came off while I was driving and I didn't feel anything.

Oh well, time to dish out another $100!

With times getting as hard as it is, I'm sure some one outside of there mind would do that. i'm thinking a wheel falling off would of messed something up on your boat or trailer. Either way, sorry for your misfortune.

I have a chain and a lock on mine. I learned the hard way as I had a boat stolen from me back in 2005...

Man I hate thieves. I was at Bethy Creek on Monday but had no problems. We launched there because I had friends tell me not to park/launch at the public ramp by the bridge. I had my spare in the back of the truck but at the last minute we decided to put it inside the truck. Saturday night at my house on the south end of the lake, I had a new cast net in a 5 gallon bucket stolen off the deck of my boat. I new better than to leave it out.

How was the fishing -send me a PM and lets compare notes!

I keep mine in the truck bed under the locked cover. Much easier to get out and don't have to worry about it coming loose or being stolen.

I thought for a minute you were going to say you were at Koehne Park at Waco. The man at the gate told me a couple of weeks ago that if i had something i didn't want anymore to leave it in the bed of my truck. Another time a guy told me his spare was stolen there.

Watch your truck spare tire as well. I work for a industrial supplier in San Antonio. We have had every truck hit for spare tires! I think its crazy these days but the spare on most trucks are good tires. you hit 4 trucks and you have brand new tires! I think they know how to do in less than 5 minutes!

We need to start shooting people and put a message out!! Law is there to protect and serve... I am going to serve a BIG jar of Whoop arse if I catch anyone stealing!!

Land was created to provide a place for boats to visit!! It is when pirates count their booty that they become mere thieves. ARRRRRR....

If anybody needs it, it is available. Just taking up garage space. It will do for a cheap spare. I think I can find it in my junk.

Someone went through my neighborhood once and got every Ford spare that was not locked. I guess they needed Ford rims or just had the Ford tool to lower the spares. Mine are all locked.
