A buddie of mine named A.J. Matura that guides at Palestine was in town so I took him and his son-in-law fishing on RR today. We fished water 10-20' deep and wound up with 41 keeper fish. 11 of the fish were between 1 1/2 and 2 lbs each. Most of the fish were caught 10-12' deep in the hardwood trees. All of them were caught on jigs. Don't know why the big fish were there this morning but they were, maybe because it rained 1 1/2" yesterday on the lake and cooled the water down a little bit and it was cloudy this morning. It was one of the best days I've had all summer long as far as big fish, could have used them in any tournament. Me and Jerry are headed to Lake Eufala OK in the morning to prefish for a tournament next weekend. I'll let you know how we did tomorrow night.
