I have had lots of fun fishing ghe dock lights at Cedar Creek in the fall and early spring. Are the sandies and hybrids on the lights this time of the year. May make a run tonight.

Woodrow, I went out early Saturday morning to check some of my favorite lighted docks before my clients showed up and all I could find was gar under the lights. I have several docks down on the east side of the dam that have underwater lights that I usually do pretty good on but nothing but gar.

I usually run around until I fing a dock with a good light that has lots of bugs around it. you can usually see at least small baitfish busting the top of the water from a pretty good ways out and those make for the best fishin.

We tried a week ago and then a week before that, but we really didn't do that well. I hope they pick up soon, I like those hybrids all hemmed up where I can get at them. smile

Took my wife. Arrived 1 hr before sunset so jigged the 334 bridge for crappie. It was like fishing in the middle of the Daytona 500. Fast and loud boats everywhere. At Sunset we went up lake. I usually fish down lake when I fish the docks but it usually isn't Labor Day Weekend. We sent 2 coves up and fished back to the bridge. It was beautiful but we only caught 6. 5 sandies and 1 little Hybrid. Released the all. There were a few shad around the docks. Saw one other boat fishing the docks. The woman said she had 5 and the man said he had 5 misquito bites. Should get better as the water colls I think. Thank you all for the info.
