A friend who lives in Florida during the winter and early spring brought me several bags of frozen crappie fillets when he returned to Hubbard in April. He and his wife have a winter home on one of the lakes and fish for crappie 4 or 5 days a week from late December thru March.

Fried crappie ranks at the top of my list for fried fish. If you have never tried fried okra with fish, give it a try. After you have finished frying your fish in a deep fryer, add frozen cut breaded okra to the oil and fry till crisp and brown.

Looks like a great meal. Haven't had fried okra in years, but it's delicious, and it goes great with fried crappie.

That last pic was too much! I gotta get down to Fork and get some crappie for the grease!

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.
