It's going to be rough to put in...Harbor Master Marina down by Lofer's Bend is the deepest ramp and has a dock you can use...$3.00 to launch...

I'm praying for rain, because I'm tired of watering and with the lake 12.5 + feet low, it's hard to launch anywhere...

With the lake down the fish should be easier to catch. Not so many places to hide. Should be a good tournment.

Why are so many tournaments held out of Lakeside Village if you cant even launch there when the waters low? Would it not be better to have it in an area where EVERYBODY dosn't have to trailer? hmmm

Burleson Bass Club plans this tournment a year in advance. I know I cant predict the lake level that far in advance but maybe you can. Also Lakeside Village is about the only none state own park that can hold a tournment.

The corp charges so much for a tournament and you must apply for a permit in advance. We hope that we get some rain up north to help to raise the lake. I wish we could change things but after you go to the printer it all over them. I think the fishing will be good and some more ramps will be open by the tournament.

Can we get a list of what ramps are usable? How about the one by Red Bluff?

I wouldn't put in at Steele Creek, but then again, I couldn't...Our pontoon boat is just too long...You can try it, but loading there could be a problem later...

For guys with the 18' and longer boats, and those with tandem axle trailers, I'd put in at Harbor Master down by the dam...Yes, it's 20 miles, but a lot less risky right now...Lofer's Bend is supposed to be okay (Harbor Master and Lofer's are all in the same area), but you still need to be VERY careful...

Harbor Master is steep, but it has a courtesy dock and I can pull our 24 foot pontoon out with a 1986 Chevrolet Silverado with the 305 V8...

Plowman's isn't listed as being closed, so it might be the closest one for y'all to put in...McCown is marginal, but if you put in there, stay to the side of the ramp furthest from the Katy Bridge (launch on the right side of the ramp)...

The lake is currently 12.85 feet low, so be careful guys...

Oh and believe me, we're ALL praying for rain...Heck, I'd do a naked rain dance in my yard down here if I thought it'd help...Although it would probably give my neighbors a heart attack from laughing so hard....scared banana

Raining again. At least we will have some fresh water coming in. The fishing has been very good for numbers with a good fish ofter enough to keep you alert. I'll be there.

Went fishing there over the weekend. Well worth the drive to find a open boat ramp. We put in at Cedar Creek. You can use it but you have to be carefull. Caught good numbers flipping trees in 6 to 8 ft of water. Very healthy and strong fish
