Shouldn't make anybody any difference on what you keep to eat as long as it's within the laws.
Hell, fishing might be even better if people practiced that every now and then.

Who cares if you eat them. Bass are excellent table fair. You caught them and they are legal so do what you want. I also keep bass from time to time to eat.
