Remember guys & gals that this month the flounder regulation has changed to 5 per day & 2 per day during the month of November. Dont want anybody to get a ticket.

Correct, rod & reel only for flounder during the entire month of November. You may gig the remainder of the year.

Well, it's a guarantee that I'll catch two or three just under the size requirement and lose one that is the size of a trash can lid about every time out... bang

That's not even worth the trip. Why go from 5 to 2? Lets just not catch any for a year?? I do not understand. I know we need to watch our limits and all, but this seems a little excessive. Just my "2"cent limit.

To reduce the amount of spawning females being caught during the height of the fall run when they're the most vunerable and easiest to catch.

Thats the point... they don't want you there...I think giggers should be limited to two fish per day all year...flounder are one of the most mismanaged species in the gulf of mexico..I wish they would make the florida limit only two...I applaud tpwd for making this change.
