Don't change anything. I just look for spots they missed. A bass will hit something the 2nd time and not the 1st.

I'm like Yates.I do my own thing.Either I catch em' or I don't.But I don't let the front affect me at all.

If he is your good friend why are you not up in the front of the boat to make it easier for both of you to fish?

I stay on the back deck just in case the front likes his space.I definitely like the space afforded by the back deck.If he's on a flipping pattern and invites me up front,I will go.But not when casting.I like my space too.

I also fish off the back, but my fishing partner fishes along the bank instead of towards the bank. So, I spend a lot of time fishing the deep side.

I have enjoyed reading these tips. I fish from the back of the boat with my husband who is on the TM and I often complain (okay, I whine) about fishing "used water."

We fish in a couples club and there is only one team I have seen where both the husband and wife fish on the front deck together.

Thanks, everyone.

before me and my bud got a boat that we share, he would usually be in the front, and me in the back. most of the time i outfished him. not sure why. we typically used dif baits, or at least dif colors. and usually alternate bites. seems like when i was in the back i would catch more fish though.
