What is in a Zoom trick worm that would eat through the hard rubber bottom of a Plano tackle bag? There is some kind of chemical reaction going on. This is the second time that a zoom product ate through the rubber lining of my tackle bag. Is there a chemical in them or do I just need to shoot them b/c they are coming to life....lol? PS...no I am not giving them away, they are too good to me.

Have you ever put gasoline in a styrofoam cup? Same thing is happening, only on a smaller scale. (it's the worm oil which is petroleum based breaking down the rubber)
Taking 5 to the weigh-in occurs when opportunity meets successful execution of one's preparation.

I made the mistake of leaving a senco on the coffee table for a week. It ate right through the finish and left a permanent ribbed image..

That's why they sell Zoom Worms in PLASTIC bags. Keep them in the bags and don't put them in your box. If you mix them up they will also absorb the colors of the worms beside each other. ALSO, Don't leave a worm in your high dollar fishing shirt pocket and put it in the dryer. Glues the pocket together. AND don't forget the old living rubber skirts. The bands that hold the new silicone skirts will also melt when kept with worms.

I always keep them in the plastic bags, I toss the used ones in the tackle bag so they don't wind up in the lake. Now I'll toss them in a plastic cup or Zip-Loc bag. Thanks for all the info.

I guess if you put plastic on plastic or rubber on rubber they will always try to merge into each other the same way as if you put an acid on our skin(acid)it will eat a hole into you. It is definately not just Zoom but pretty much all worms will do the same
