The other day I was at the lake and everything cut off...tilt trim, engine wouldn't start, depth finder turned off, lights and pumps all shut off....weird. My buddy moved some wiring and everything worked. Then yesterday I was trying to figure out my live well connections and i was moving some wiring and the depth finder, beilge pump, depth finder and nav lights stopped working. I moved some wiring around again and it all worked again....so something is loose somewhere...but there are so many wires I dont even know where to start....and I'm not electrical guru either.

Well sounds like tryingtohookthem has offered to help.
I dont do electrical on a boat however there is not much on a boat. I have been working in the electrical field for about 16 years so what is on a boat normally seems pretty esay to me. Since you are losing power to everything including accessories it must be a main power cable or something of that nature. Because all of those wires dont go straight back to the battery normally to a distribution center. So i would think you are losing ground or postive on the main cable or the cable feeding the distribtion block. Would have to take a look at it to know for sure but thats just my .02 cents. However i am sure there are others on here that do this for a living. If you can get it figured out an are in the lewisville area let me know and i would be glad to see if i can help a fellow tff and fisherman out.

I had that problem awhile back and found the problem after taking the engine cover off and found the cables were loose.

only one thing I know of can cause that -- take everything off your battery posts and polish all those connectors until they shine. then polish the posts, too. sandpaper works pretty good, dremel with a wire brush even better.
Then put 'em back on, but TIGHT! If you have wingnuts on the battery posts, use pliers on 'em.
