Croakers are delicious. Catching some big enough to eat can be a problem.

The Republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.

Have heard that croaker are very good eating. Would be interested in hearing more on this topic. How, when, and where. I suspect they run in the fall when other fish, much like both types of drum. Aren't croaker a type of drum? Would you fish w/some type of cut or dead bait? No clue as to what type of water/structure, jetties, piers, or channels. hmmm

We've caught them off peirs pretty good and jetties too. They take dead shrimp very well (I only use 1/2 a piece to make it last longer). They also eat your basic spec rigs under the lights and I like to add a small piece of dead shrimp or squid to the hook to entice them a little more. Fall is good. It's my understanding they are part of the drum family too.
