Yep, it's ugly but it's home to some lovely keeper crappie.
I put it out last March. Had several come off it today in DeVine. I love fishing in 20mph North winds. May as well, we've had it all year. Man, it was a pre-view out there today for next weekend. Skier, Jetters, sailboats, yachts and backed up at the ramp just to get out.

It's also decorated now with some of CV's and Dink Dodger's fine jigs.
hammer
Today it didn't matter what jig or color, as long as it had a nibble on it.
No nibble, No bite.

I knew I was definatly on it when I hung up and pulled in 2 artificial leaves from that fake house tree. Looks like it will outlive me, so good material for this. I had one of my buddies wife, who goes to garage sales a lot, to pick me up some for free. Those are hickory branches (15ft long) and a couple of limbs off our decorative cedar tree out of my front yard. 40lb pyramid base is holding it strong in 18ft. All fish were put back for future. Pulled 8 off it with 4 being 13" and the others just under 10. Thanks Ernest for the condo lessons here on the TFF.

It looks like a winner to me. Is this the first time you caught fish off of it since you put it out? Im trying to get an idea how long it might take for fish to start hanging. I put one out abt 3 weeks ago, no fish on it yet.

COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

Yep, I've been too busy doing the CAT tourny's this summer to get back out there. I also lost the coords to it when my Lowrance unit went out this spring. Luckily I wrote them down on a scrap of paper and being past 50 promptly forgot where I put that paper but then found it last month. It's fun getting old. hammer
It's got good algea coating on it now but I wouldn't doubt it has held fish all summer. There's no other cover in that area. That's one reason I put it there. Ernest calls it an oasis, like in the desert, with nothing else around they have to come to it. thumb

yes Mike, #13.

That looks like it will nicely hold fish on The Vine.

Fishing is about family.
