Trojan SCS225 or SCS200 if you don't have the room.

Trojan SC 225 is a great battery I used them for years and got my last set from Gander Mt. I had one go South on me and they would not take it back or help me out in any way. I called the factory and they told me they had a bad batch and they would replace it. Just drive to there wearhouse on the Houston ship chanel. "I dont think so" I now run The Stowaway 205's from Academy. (Academy will make good on there batteries.) I run the duel purpose Optima for a cranking battery they are lighter and maintenance free. I have had no problems with the stowaways or Optimas.

What ever you buy, they are only as good as you take care of them.

Sears Platium Marine Batteries have been the "Best" I have ever seen for long lasting power.

Yes,

I need help in this area as well. My batteries are about 3 years old and yesterday i went out and they worked fine for the first 2 hours. Then they went south. The Wind picked up and I could not keep up against the current. I needed an anchor yesterday to stay in one spot i finally found fish in.

So Interstate, Optima, Stowaway 205's or Trojan SCS225 or SCS200--would all be a good choice? how do you determine how good they are? Nevermind i read more and found that--i needed to look at RC on the Battery 180-205 looks good.

Interesting--i need two more batteries for myself and I wanted to get the best.

I do have one last question--i have a 2 bank charger made by guest --its the 2611a charger. It seems to have 3 stages of charging. When i do get my new batteries do i just leave them plugged in all the time and have them stay in the "float" Stage of charging?

I am all ears here...
