Finally got my new pro-staff Lund boat. It is a 1900 Pro V-SE and it has a 225HP Super Charged Mercury Verado. When you start it up you can't even hear it run, you have to look back to make sure it's on. It's black on top and gray on bottom with all kinds of storage, bells & whistles and an X15 GPS color graph. I'll get some pictures and post it soon on the forum. As far as the fishing goes, I fished 6 trees today in 26' of water and fished 18-20' deep and caught my limit. The 2 biggest fish weighed 1.4 & 1.3, all caught on white and chartreuse jigs. Then went joy riding trying to break in my new boat.

Congratulations! I can't wait to see the photos of her. I guess I could go to Lund's website and look at that model.

Paul, I saw you loading your new boat on the trailer at Buck Creek ramp today. I guess it was around noon. I did not realize that was you or I would have said hello.

I made a circle to take a look at it while my partner was backing down on the other side. That is a really, really nice rig, and you are right about the motor being so quiet.

I wanted to jump in it and take it for a spin after I saw it had the 225 Verado on it.

Good luck with the new ride, hope it serves you well.

I plan on keeping my Triton and use it when I'm fishing by myself just to keep the Lund from getting scratched up in all the trees out there on Ray Roberts. I plan on using the Lund for guide trips and tournaments. Next time you see me over at the lake and anyone wants to take a ride in the Lund or drive it give me a hollar I'll be glad to let you. As far as the fishing goes today I only caught 14 keepers, did more boat riding than fishing today still trying to get it broke in.

I took a ride with Paul last Wednesday in his new boat. That Verado is almost TOO quiet. It is an amazing motor to run. The power steering and digital throttle is awesome. The boat is beautiful in color and the trailer has stainless fenders rolleyes It is pretty sharp rig....

Congratulations on the new ride! It sounds pretty sweet. How's the gas mileage on that Verado?

Paul:

Make sure you give credit where credit is due. You probably weren't aware at the time, of the favor I was doing for you when I bought the Lund Pro V 1900 at the boat show that Joe had already promised to you! By waiting a few months you got an even better setup with a sweeter motor than my 200 Optimax! I like your idea of keeping your Triton for getting into the trees as I have already put a few scratches on mine....despite my almost "over carefulness". Although, once you start taking your Lund out, you won't want to use your Triton anymore.

See you on the water!

Dave

Did alright. Caught alot of small Reds and trout off the pier at night. Fishing was slow on the piers this year compaired to last year. I went out on a head boat but ended up helping my cousin(deckhand) work the boat and clean up after the trip. Caught a few snapper on that trip.
My two small boys wore me out catching Piggy Perch and hardheads a couple nights laugh
Lots of sun and sand, glad to get home..
