Anybody catching any fish on the Bridges at Bardwell. Had an elderly man several years ago tell me he did real well there.

Bardwell is supposed to be an excellent Crappie Lake. One day after prefishing at Richland Chambers my buddy took me to the fishing Barge on Bardwell... We could not get the crappie to bite but we hooked monster carp on Andy Capp's French Fries floating on the surface. Never got a one landed though.. Couldn't turn their heads and they got hung up in the brush everytime. But it sure was fun watching those Carp come up and suck in that french fry.. Set the hook and hold on...

I haven't tried it in a while, I doubt the bridge is really good yet. It's the place to be during the summer pattern. There is absolutely no cover on that lake other than man made brush piles and that bridge. When they start cutting wheat...start fishing under the bridge.
