Pavel,

The Island (East Side) and between the Island and the Dam...Sand Bass Point. It is all good this time of year. The birds are starting to hit, so keep your eye out for them.

Best of luck! Keep us posted on how it goes.

Not a great map but at least it has some labels to identify some of the names of places. The island is just NW of the Trawick boat ramp label is. Good luck. thumb

Grapevine has been really iffy this year. But the fish are there. I tried some sand bassin today. Only caught a few fish. I have been busy busting up them cats to focus on the sandies. Also try around Meadowmere Park. The sandies usually school around there too. But, we will probably have to wait for the lake to turn over.

I haven't seenthw birds working all year. Even when there has been schooling top water action, the few birds around have not got into the mix. The shad has been small this year. I think ether fall will be better. The fall is the best time to fish the vine anyway. Not as much wind as rne spring, and not as much pleasure boaters as the summer.

I agree with Brian. I have been fishing for Sandies out there at least 10 times and I haven't seen the birds on the fish all year.

My trips to Grapevine last year were much more succesful. I wonder if it had to do with how low the lake was earlier in the year.
