Every once in a while, I actually get a simple idea. I hook my cats underneath the bottom chin onto a metal stringer. But the larger the cat, the harder to penetrate the skin and muscle. So I took my two metal stringers and using my bench grinder, I sharpened the stringer points. Took about 30 seconds for each point.

Just be careful and do not get the stringer entangled with the grinder. Otherwise your new TFF name could be "Stumpy".

I don't like using stringers , I prefer a cooler of some sort but that is a good idea.

Don't put a large catfish on the metal clip stringers. It will bend them straight and be gone. Don't ask how I know. Maybe it was my catch and release method.

I've noticed some bigger cats like to get tangled on all kinds of [censored](under piers atleast) and find all kinds of trouble to get tangled in.
