LanMan and I caught 33 today, not too bad. Coulda been better if more than 7 made it into the live well. Met another TFFer from Boyd who wasn't having as much luck, but real nice fella. Next time you're in the area, shoot me an email.

Crappieman,
I'm headed out to Ray Roberts on Saturday (weather permitting). Were they hitting in teh shallows? Minnows? Jigs? How deep?
I did okay last year on the northwest end of the lake in 2-4 feet of water on minnows.

30 ft. on minnows. Worked bridges first and did well, trees didn't seem to be holding anything. Jig bite was not there. We were lucky and used the same minnow for 3 to 4 fish at times.

Hey there crappie man, I finally made it back. We ended up staying there at the same hole, continued to catch em till dark. I don't know how many we caught ,but we ended up with 14 keepers. A real nice fellar by the name Jim Mchutchins took my brother back to Isle de bois to get my truck so we could get back safely. Sure was a nice fellar. Ya'll should have stayed around, you missed a good show! Just before dark, while my brother was gone, I decided to take a quick look at my depth finder on the dash. To make a longer story shorter, I stumbled, did almost a full split and some how the next thing I know ,my head, right shoulder and just about the rest of me was hangin up side down in the water. Somehow, I guess with the adrenaline flowing ,had enough strength to pull my fat arse out of the drink into the boat. That water was every bit of 51.7 degrees. My right hip and side are pretty sore from slamming into the side of the boat there. We went back yesterday morn and ended up with 9 more keepers, we didn't stay to long.well good luck fishin, and nice meeting ya'll. George

we went out this am, fished around Johnson creek, and didnt get a nibble. Fished 2-5' water, and then in structure around 12-14 feet. tried slabbing in open water for sandies, but no luck.
All we caught was cold hands.
