Mmmm.... Jerky... I rigged up a metal trashcan with racks and a thermometer with a smoke box in the bottom that I sit on my grill. It cooks it really well, and it's easy to regulate the temp... A little ghetto, but it works well...

I partially smoked a 5 lb arm roast this weekend in my great big smoker, then been curing it the rest of the way and finishing in the dehydrator.
There's just something about jerky.

You might want to try McCormicks Original Country Gravy mix. I didn't know instant gravy could be this good. I do like home made gravy but since I have been using this I have not made any home made. Good stuff!!!!

I have a lot of problems paying a buck for half a cup of flour with some pepper and dehydrated milk. Just me being a cheapskate.

It cost me about 60 cents and I can make it in another pan while I am cooking something else. Plus I don't drink a lot of milk and when I want gravy I am usually out of milk.

I make gravy usually when the milk is about to turn. I can't drink milk, so about every other week.
Usually its sausage gravy on saturday mornings with soda biscuits. Good good stuff. Less than 20 minutes from start to table.

I cant express my deep love for that stuff. I don't understand chicken fried chicken. Isn't that just fried chicken? Fried chicken is deep fried. Chicken fried chicken in pan fried. Now ya know
