EJ,

Good info there...thanks! I was wondering when they would be moving to da bubbles.

Glad you had a great day out there. Boat traffic will start dropping off now that school is back in. Wooohoooo!

Times like that with the kids are the best. I am new to fishing and have been trying on Gvine for the past few weeks with ok luck. Mostly fishing for catfish. I have never tried for sandies. Are you using live shad? If so, what type of rig and depth produce fish at the bubbles. Any info would help. Thanks.

Good to hear G-vines producing thumb. Also great about school starting back banana. Whatever you do don't try to anchor around the bubbles. You'll be very lucky if you get your anchor back bang.

I am a slabber and a rattletrap kind of guy. I haven't fished with Shad in Da Vine yet. I have found chartreuse colors to work the best.

Best of luck to you!

Fish were surfacing Sun morning near Sand bass point. Fast moving and mostly 9 inch fish, but throwing humdingers and letting them sink a bit then reeling was working pretty good. Had $1,200 of touchup stuff done in the boat, three new batteries put in, excited to try it out only to have it die at 8:20am (no starter and no trim). Finally got it trailered, trim manually lifted and home at about 2pm.

I gave Grapevine a couple of anchors too. I hope the sandies are starting to pick up there. It has been very slow this summer.

Agreed. I for one contributed to the anchor graveyard by the bubbles.. I think they get caught on the bubble pipe on the bottom..

BEWARE: A creature unlike any other resides deep below that dam that delights himself on all anchors & them bubbles are the byproduct of years of ropes & steel!
