Willie Findum and I have tried for 3 or 4 years to go wet a hook together. Our calendars finally allowed it..had a ball. Tied on some jigs and went after it. Didn't catch a bunch but caught some choice morsels in 14 ft of water over a twig or two. Strong S.E. wind was an issue. water temp between 54 & 57 and stained. Joe Ham here's part of your Wednesday dinner.
He leadeth me beside still waters.

Boy those are nice. We went out Friday to the north end of Cotton Creek and caught one in 12 ft. Another boat fished with us and did not get any thing but two bass. :(javascript:void(0) Frown Got alot of Brim bites but that was it and nothing in shallower water ither. Wondering if they are starting to go deeper now? Just couldn't hang out in that big wind Friday it seemed to be 15 to 20mph.
Anyway good job. Hope to see ya out there..

Fished both Saturday and Sunday on Lewisville and did poorly. Five fish yesterday and zippo today. Was not for lack of trying proven techniques. A gentleman down by the ramp said the word going around is the lake is turning over.
Surface temps varied 62 to 57/58 degrees today. Fished standing timber but little success. Also tried slow trolling/spider rigging on the dam a bit this morning but no luck. Only found one area along the dam with some bait fish and maybe crappie. The rest of the dam area was barren on the graph.

I sure wish it had risen some more. It was still 11 ft low and the water temp was dropping. The previous week it was 61 degrees, when we fished Sat it was between 54 and 57 on the far North end. The last rain only raised it from 511.64 to 512.10. Now we're gonna get a couple of hot days then another cold front. Any guesses on what THAT's gonna do?
