Hi everyone! First off, I'm not in any of these pics, and I'm strictly a bass fisherman. These guys are crappie fisherman that post on my local fishing board. Looks like they had a pretty good day. Anyways here's some pics of some nice crappie they caught about 5 minutes awy from my house here in San Diego - Otay reservoir.

Nice crappie. I have a cousin that lives in San Diego (Santee). If I could live anywhere in the US, it would be San Diego. Awesome weather, great food and nice beaches. You gotta love Mission beach on the second weekend in July!!

dang!!! looking at the landscape around that lake, crappie sure doesn't come to mind. I'm so used to seeing a bank with just trees.

Those are like....awesone slabs dude!

It would be hard to crappie fish with all of the salt water so close by. I used to live in Thousand Oaks and I miss Cali fishing!

hey san diego, I am from la mesa. not been there in a long time, looks fishing is still pretty good.I am wanting to make a trip out that way here in a couple of months, any suggestions? I have lived here in tx for about 19 years now. I do not miss the earthquakes at all. I however do miss imperial and pacific beach dearly. I really miss otay, hodges, el cap and san v. I heard other lakes have opened since I departed, is that true? let me know.

It's a small world isn't it! My aunt and uncle live in La Mesa around 70th and El Cajon Blvd. If you remember, that's right down the street from Lake Murray.

Family in Santee huh? Right on! Santee has some real good spots to tube the San Diego river.

If you're coming out this way again, definitely hit the hot spots, Otay, San V. and Barrett. Give me a holler when you're coming out.

I have a really close friend that lives in El Cajon and works at San Diego State University. It is a beautiful place but I would now want to live there.

CRASH8005,

Guess what, I'm a senior at SDSU! I graduate in May - public administration. I love SDSU and will definitely miss it if I don't go back and further my education.

how is the base ball coach doing? he is the greatest thing to ever happen to professional base ball. the man can hit a ball for sure.

I was raised around home ave and hollywood park, azalea park areas. any of those ring any bells?
