I bought an Abu Pro Max today at Academy on sort of a whim. I don't know anything about them except that I trust Abu-Garcia quality generally. What do you guys who have them think?

they are ok for weekend fisherman jmo. my son has one , no problems in the 2nd year

I've never been unsatisfied with an abu reel. And almost seems like whatever you do to them however bad you take care of them they just keep working.

Yeah, that's been my experience with them also, however I've never had a cheap one. Thanks a lot guys. Oh, BTW Dayne...the fact that you don't understand something is really not relevant.
