I'll be going to Fork also. I'm going to try the Hwy 17 bridge or the timber in Mustang. Best of luck to you.

We (CAT) just had a tourny there last weekend. As you can see from the results it was very tough. I now know 3/4 of the lake where they aren't. Go north.
Lot's of luck.

I would say they are somewhat slow on Fork...at least that was the status a week ago. See the recent CAT post BigMack directed you to for info to help you narrow down your search for Mr. Sac-A-Laits on Fork. Good luck!

Thanks for the info guys. my friend got sick and we had to call off the trip to fork. I think I'll find a bank some where today to wet a line or two.

crappie fishing is always slow on fork if your looking for big fish only but for a day of catching fish period it can be great but its august and tough right now bridges at night will produce for you as well as brush, next month shorter days and cooler nights cant wait august tourny should be a blast. goodluck

Went out 4 times over the weekend with minnows and jigs over my trusty brush piles and didn't even get a bump.
