I'm wondering whether or not I need to go to the store And get some Tampa. Guess I better call my wife and consult with her.

I've gone this short time and I feel like I want to knock someone the "f" out.

This is going to be hard on me, and I will appreciate yall for putting up with me and I will pay back in spades.

I think whAt we all need to do as a group is figure out how we can keep younger groups from ever taking a drag or a dip and making it stick.

That as a group could be our legacy. ThAt could be our "pay it forward".

I don't want to see another person go threw this, be ot threw their own addiction or threW watching a family member die.

You know... Its time to make a damn difference!!!

That's the bad thing, my date. aint until next friday and I can already feel anxiety.

I want to figure out a way to help us as a group of guys, but take it further.

You think MadChad is bad... Anger can sweep me away and turn me into somebody you don't want to be around. I put a stop and control on it the dAy my daughter was born on feb 3,2003.

She is the biggest part of why I want to Quit. She needs to understand at a young age that addiction is not acceptable.

Its harder for me to type and tp portray how I feel on this damn phone, but we all have a lot of hard work in front of us, and we all got to figure out how to make it stick.

God bless us all.

Please forgive me
if I am comming off as crazy

Hang in there breid, I'm sure it will get better, I hope it does. I know I will never let my son touch the stuff, and will warn every other I kid I see trying it.

Priddy, you are a huge point of inspiration for me.

You do it, I do it...

I do it, you do it.

We all beat this deal.

Is it going to be easy... Hell no!!!

But remember... Nothin good comes easy.

Alright, just got home, and have my last dip in now, threw out under half a can. I told my 8yr old son I was going to quit and he says he will not let me get close to another can, so I'm pretty much committed at this point. Bought 2 bags of sunflower seeds and warned my wife to stay away from me tomorrow. bang I plan on working on gates and fences all day so I hope I don't pizz anybody off too much.

breid, thanks for pulling for me, I hope I can get through this.

I think the biggest part of not being able to quit is the stuff is not only an addiction and a habit but its so enjoyable. I am going to try and find something positive to replace it with. I do not know what that is going to be yet but something needs to fill the hole that snuff used to fill.

It's amazing how familiar all these stories sound.

Before you quit, it's hard to imagine your life without smokes or a dip. Think about it...

When you are irritated, you smoke or dip to calm down. When you have a good meal, you reward yourself with smoke or dip. When you pop your first beer, it taste way better with tobacco. You close a good deal or have a good day at work, that first cig or dip is really enjoyed, conversely, you have a bad day at work and the cig or dip helps you wind down.

Smoking and dipping has been a huge part of our lives.

The good new is, once you stop, it gets easier every day. Try not to think of life without smoking or dipping, instead, just make it a day at a time.

Actually putting it down is the hardest thing. Once you decide to do it, it's not as tough as you think. I bet it took 100+ days over the last few years telling myself I wouldn't buy any more smokes before I finally did it. My biggest problem was that Elizabeth and I both smoked. We would quit for a week or ten days and start up agian because the other was smoking. This time we quit at the same time and it has worked so far.
