What are those Cheeto puffs?

I catch 100's of catch fish on it every year, all hooked in the bottom lip all hook them selfs.

Has anyone every used this rig to target catfish?

its a self hooking rig called a Hair-Rig, it works great on catfish...just set the rod down and they hook them selfs.

OK - send me instructions on how to make them. Please.

yeah that sounds pretty good there are a ton of video's on youtube as well I will see if I can find a good one...I have threaded shad onto the hair before and it worked great...but when we fish for we might catch 30-40 catfish in a night on this rig

how fast can you rig one of those up?

here I just tied one and took some photos you do not need the ring for catfish

step one just tie an overhand loop


step two run the line through the eye of the hook and adjust the length of the "hair" this is where you will put the bait.


step three snell down the hook about 1/3 of the way



step four run the line back through the eye of the hook and and pull tight...thats it






getting the bait on the hair is tricky you can buy baiting needles from www.bigcarptackle.com or you can straighten out a hook or something you stick your bait on the needle then thread it off the needle onto the hair by placing the barb of the straighten hook or baiting needle and catching the overhand loop just pull it and it should slide off the needle onto the hair now just place something like a small stick or something to hold the bait on the hair so it doesn't slide off this is called the hair stop....some people have placed cork balls on the hair and then just placed bait around these I guess that would work with a cotton ball or cork ball and that dip bait you guys use
