First of all, thanks for all the views on the previous post and lets keep that discussion going.
What I would like to know now, is what would you do if you failed a polygraph ?
I personally couldn't pony up the $300 for a re-test and I don't think legal action is the way to go either. In the previous post, someone mentioned an investigation by a tournament committee. I think this is a great idea and would like some opinions on how this could be incorporated into the trails we fish. Any and all suggestions welcome !

I would never enter a tournament that requires a polygraph test in the first place because I personally think it's a crutch for a poorly put-together tournament. The tournament committee should have thought out the solution first and not had to fall back on this device.

What do you mean a "BIG BOY" real tournament. Every tournament trail in the Country uses a Polygraph, even B.A.S.S. and FLW in the event of a problem. If the tournament has anything worth winning they are going to give polygraphs.
If you can find one Big Tournament Trail in the U.S. that doesn't use polygraphs, I would be extremely impressed.
Good Luck, but your going to be looking for awhile.

threatening the use of polygraph and relying completely on those results and nothing else are 2 very different things.

Well i know of one time during the ronald mcdonald tourney on fork one guy got the graph and they asked where he caught the fish and he failed so no money and was dis-qualified if i remember correctly and his partner also said they caught the fish in that area and passed so. They say ppl that have nothing to hide fail these things more than the ppl who are doing wrong, they do not hold up in court so i don't know why they are still used anymore. I know there are cheats out there who will do anything to win like the father and son team a while back on lewisville who got caught pulling bass out of there cage at there boat house. I know if i had to cheat to win then it is time to find another hobby.
I'll take all the test they want when it comes to weighing in fish i have nothing to hide, so bring them on, but they are not 100% you are lucky if they are 50% right Just my two cents worth

Apparently TD's would catch more than a few with a simple metal detector according to a recent letter I recieved about cheating from a local club where lead weights were added to fish. Then there are the ones that bring in a 20lb stringer all beat up in the middle of the summer when 40 had a max stringer of 4 lbs.
