So, Im here to quit dipping. I know I can do it, I just need the motivation, and the want.

Now then, WHEN i quit dipping...will it be cheating, or bad for me to still smoke a nice cigar? I enjoy cigars.. but seriously doubt I have ANY addiction to them.

I truthfully cant see myself smoking cigars ALL the time. I only enjoy them in the evenings at the house, and thats not everyday.

I've smoked three cigars since I quit smoking cigs. As long as you don't replace one habit with another, I think you are good.

If you start smoking 3 or 4 cigars a week, you may be headed down the wrong road.

Agreed. I dont intend on replacing the dip with a cigar, but I honestly DO plan on having a good cigar on a friday evening after work, with a friend maybe, or a nice glass of crown. I DANG sure dont plan on 3-4 cigars a week.
A: that would be MORE expensive than dip!
B: One reason I enjoy cigars, is that they are a special treat.. not an everyday thing.

I had one friend who tried to quit smoking cigarettes and took up smoking cloves--he was lot of fun to be around--trust me. ;-) It felt like I was back at the Stark club.

I've been around a lot of people who have quit, and then cheat by sneaking a quick dip or a few puffs on a cigarette. Most of them feel guilty after doing so, and think "Eff it. I've slipped up this much so might as well go back to the habit." I'd think if a few puffs of a cigar is better then however many cigarettes you previously smoked per day (I'm not sure if it is), but as long as you did not fall back further you are still better off than before.

baby girl is due in January, we just found out its a girl yesterday.

and she will NEVER smell like a cigar, Im sure I will occasionally enjoy one, but no where near my baby, nor will I take my stank azz near her after having one, before showering.
