I'd probably use a single hook and pinch down the barbs as that straw rig with a treble would be tough to get out of an ear or the back of your head.

Hooks in the back of the head or ears is good for the soul, builds fishing personality and helps understand what a fish goes through when we hook them!

Think like a fish, think like a fish, think like a fish LMAO!

Ha! If the wind is bringing the fly back towards me I can feel myself flinching preparing for a hook in the back. I need to get some straws Smacks were pretty thick at the jetties the other night!

Works like a champ, I have caught a ton of skip jacks from Florida to SPI on these things. Never had the chance to try em on Smacks .If you pre tie them with the knotable steel leader its even better. Have fun.
