Headed down for the weekend and wanted to buy some live croaker for Saturday Morning. Anyone have any suggestions on where and what time to get there before they are sold out? Thanks. Hoghunter.

Of the 600 miles of Texas coast line, where exactly were you planning on going? Might help us narrow it down just a tad.

I will be in Port Aransas, launching from the Port A Harbor. Thanks for your help.

Any of the docks along the harbor will fly a croaker flag if they have 'em. You normally have to get there early (like when their doors open) to get good croaker.
Woody's, Port A Outfitters, Fisherman's Wharf are all good places to start. Sometimes if they're out then you can try Crabman Marina back on the causeway to Aransas Pass.

How come ya'll don't cast net the croaker? I caught a bunch in the bay behind CC NAS about a month ago.

Because croaker can sometimes be difficult to locate, unlike mullet, which are everywhere.
If I'm going to fish with croaker I'd rather just buy some and get to fishing rather than spending time trying to locate croaker.
