I've been working hard over the past 18 months to learn Lake Fork. After having some success fishing it at night once the weather heated up I went out two weeks ago and fished all night on a Friday night. Tried everything I could think of and covered quite a bit of water and both my boat partner and I got absolutely skunked. I was humbled and absolutely confused about where to turn. I knew from the forum that Clint Wright guided night trips and called to see how soon he could get us out and get me back on fish. When he called back I was disappointed to learn he was booked heavily for how soon I was looking to go. What happened next was a complete surprise.
I told him we'd been skunked and he asked if I had time to talk about it. After a little fishing therapy and a post mortem on where I'd been the night before and what we'd tried Clint laid out a complete game plan that was far different from what I'd been doing, and put us right back in the fish the following night. He spent a long time on the phone with me with no immediate gain other than just being a great guy willing to help talk me in off the ledge. I can't say enough about how surprisingly selfless I think it was to do it, and I'll definitely be booking with him this year just to thank him for the help. In short, good people and a smart angler as evidenced by the two double digit fish his dad put in the boat last night. I just wanted to share the experience with anyone here looking for a guide on Fork. I look forward to meeting him in person myself, but after my experience I don't think you could go wrong booking with Clint! -Keith

Understanding that its the way he earns a living my conscience wouldn't let me run with that advice and not book a trip. Looking forward to it. -Keith

I won a trip with him for night fishing. After hearing all this I can't wait until we set a date. Sounds like a great guy.

Clint will make your experience what you want it to be and work danged hard at it. My wife and I came out from Georgia for the Skeeter Tournament. We had never been to Texas, much less Lake Fork. We booked Clint to learn something about the lake (having heard those crazy stories about forests in the water and boat lanes... we just don't have lakes like that in Georgia). Clint did a great job showing us the lake, improving our skills (my wife is now adept at throwing a baitcaster), and helping prepare us for the Lake Fork tournament experience. During the tournament I caught my biggest bass ever on artificial bait (too bad it was a slot fish). He's a hard worker and I would book him again.
Y'all remember what America used to be like? I miss those days.

Clint is a great guy. Always willing to share knowledge and skills with anyone. We communicate quite often. I was going to try and get a night trip with him on the 29th but I couldn't get a couple of guys to go. My loss.

Just got in from vacation and saw this. Thank you everyone for the kind words. I believe in doing the job right the first time and not doing it half azz. I also believe that when you help someone it will sometimes come back 10 fold. This has been the focus of my business. I guess sometimes hard work pays off! Thanks again!

Fished with Clint 3 weeks ago and we came in for lunch. Went to see Cam at LFM. A "stranger" came in and asked Cam about his flat tire. Clint told him that he'd go help him get back on the road. Clint said bye and hit the road with the guy in need. I saw him do this "good work" 3 years ago way before he came on with me. He's the real deal. No matter who you are or are not.
