Well I chewed up my prop yesterday so now I am looking for a place to get my prop repaired near south Fort Worth?

I also started looking for a possible replacement for my prop and would like some suggestions.

Boat- 2007 Tracker Targa 185 Sport
Motor- 2007 Mecury Optimax 150 max rpm 5750
Prop- 14 1/4"x21p WOT 5300 rpm @ 47mph(aluminum stock prop that needs repaired)

I am looking for a SS prop that would help hole shot(I pull kids on tube and knee board) and cruising. I don't really care about top end.

a really good prop for your boat would be a 19p Mirage plus.

i don't have any of them, but there should be some on e-bay or craigslist.
a new one will sell for around 400.00

used one's starting around 150.00 and up.

not trying to be rude to other shops, but i've seen an awful lot of terrible work coming out of the dallas area lately. I have no idea who is doing the "bad" work. i hate to even say anything, but guys just gotta be careful who you use if you want your prop done correctly.

For close to what you'll spend in fuel driving a prop to the shop & back, you can UPS it to Steve.

Already dropped it off($65). If it wasn't just a general purpose aluminum prop I probably would have sent it to Steve!

Thanks again for the recommendation Steve! I did find that prop on ebay for $400(Mirage Plus), but if you can come close to that price I would rather give you the business.

you should be able to find a good used mirage for around 200.00.
