They are tuff as nails. I flip and pitch with 65lbs. braid and have cought a 10.13lbs bass in 8ft of water almost under the boat. I cought a five under a tree and she wrapped me up and I git her out.

I find that shimano baitcasters are to small for my hand.... the way I palm my reels lets my finger get caught up in the drag star when I'm winding the crank. I'm a REVO fan all the way. However, Shimano is the only spinning reel I will ever buy.

very good reels, but I'm TICKED that there is no 6.3:1 reel in the curado lineup. The D's at least had the 100's.
I don't care for how this reel sits on a rod to me. For some reason it just doesn't feel good in my hands. I liked how the 101D felt much better.
The E model doesn't feel as refined as the 200D's on retrieves, but it does cast better.

Love my E7 and will buy more including the E5.
The difference between men & boys is the price of their toys.

I have 2 and the yare great but the Citica 200E is a better deal on almost the same identical reel with a 6.3:1 ratio. If you need a burner reel this is it! If not go with the citica 200E and get 3 for the price of 2 Curado's.

I have 2 E7's and use them more than my 50mg's, Chronarch B's and Curado 200DHSV.
I like the ultra low profile that seems like an extension of my arm when casting.
Got another one on order.
